1. Introduction

Welcome to Catchment ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Echovia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our site intelligence platform, and use our mobile application ("Catchment" for Android and iOS).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Business data (portfolio size, store locations) provided during the onboarding process.
  • Usage data and analytics regarding your interactions with our platform.

Mobile Application Data

When you use our mobile application, we may additionally collect:

  • Local Storage: Assessment data (site details, ratings, notes, competitor observations) is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage until you choose to upload it.
  • Authentication Credentials: Login tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our site intelligence and field assessment services.
  • To improve, personalize, and expand our platform's capabilities.
  • To communicate with you, including for customer service, updates, and marketing (which you can opt-out of).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Your organization's authorized users (assessment data is shared within your company's account).
  • Cloud service providers who host our infrastructure (Azure, Vercel), under strict data processing agreements.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Assessment data, including photos and location information, is retained for the duration of your organization's subscription. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encrypted local storage on mobile devices, secure API communications over HTTPS, and platform-native credential storage.
